Location for NSBTM Archive Files

Background

The Board needs a cloud storage service for storing archives. Currently we have:

  • About 600 MB of “working files” (files which are currently in use by the Treasurer and the Web Content Manager)
  • About 185 MB of files are related specifically to the activities of the Treasurer and include financial records and supporting documentation(expense receipts, bank statements, invoices, etc.) which must be specifically kept for audit purposes
  • About 130 MB of documents from the original NSBTM website which include all the information Stella Benson saved (for instance, reports of the original founding discussions, all financial archives, etc.)

Alice Freeman is not recommending that we do our daily work in the “Cloud” – I am simply looking for a place to store NSBTM archives so anyone can access them in the future.

BOX.COM

I have selected BOX.COM as the cloud storage service for NSBTM files.

  • BOX is free, can be easily accessed at BOX.COM using any Browser, and provides 10 GB of free storage.
  • Access to our account requires the username nsbtm.news@gmail.com and a Password (available from the Web Content Manager).
  • BOX does not require any software to be installed on an individual’s computer.
  • Files can be easily uploaded and downloaded from the folders created in BOX.
